I began my free motion quilting (FMQ) journey in February 2017 and started my website and blog in October 2018.
I’m also a professional artist, photographer, and greeting card designer & humorist. I’m the published author of six books, two on psychology self-help for parents, and four on cat humor. My cartooning and humor work has appeared on greeting cards, bookmarks, mugs, magnets, calendars, and more.
I now love combining quilting and art!
My site features examples of my FMQ art in the Gallery. Some of my work is for sale and I do commission work. I also do some quilting for charities.
My Blog is new and I decided to start with How I Got Started (Oct. 2018, first post); it shows my first 3 months of learning FMQ. I’ll be mixing in older and new stuff!!
I use a dream machine for my FMQ – the sit-down Bernina Q20.
I got my inspiration from my grandmother who was a quilter. Being under one of her quilts felt like love itself. I think she would be amazed at FMQ and how creative and fun it is. I learned how to sew, piece, and do hand quilting many years ago.
I live in Austin, Texas with my sweet husband, two cute doggies, a beautiful koi pond, and my fabulous Bernina Q20!
Thanks for stopping by!
